For once I find myself on the side of the salty folks ... I'd like an explanation of WHY the damage was nerfed 30 percent and why it is not being restored to 100 percent.

It's because of all the bed player standing in the back not actually playing the game spanning scout rifles and nameless midnight the entire duration of every single activity all I heard was bam bam bam nameless midnight all the time It's badd on the part of bungee to not come out and say that but I'm pretty sure that was the reason that they nerved them because if they didn't that's all anybody would ever use

I agree with you. The Scout rifle nerf was to push folks toward bows. Just my guess, but makes some sense.

Agreed. Scout rifles have always been an essential weapon to Destiny and they completely trashed 'em.
