Dredgen Yor is dead. Drifter was a Shadow of Yor, but they all died on an icy planet where only he survived.

The drifter was not a shadow of yor
-
Why not?
-
He ran with them briefly, but was, at best, a mere member
-
You seem to forget people can be revived by their ghosts..
-
Dredgen Yor abandoned his Ghost, so that's a no go. If you'd read up on what happened to Drifter's crew, there was fck all their Ghosts could do to save them from dying when their light got snuffed out. When Ghaul invaded, they lost their Light anyway and drew on each other with Drifter surviving that situation. Dredgen Yor and the other Shadows of Yor are dead, and there's nothing a Ghost could change about those deaths.

It says golden gun but i doesn't specify super, the golden gun in question i believe to be the last word. My theory is that death is the only thing that could kill the corruption and yes his abandoned ghost did find him and ressurected him. Upon ressurection and cleansing light his memories our fuzzy at best thats why he goes to the shadows for a time as its a fragment of what he can remember but this leads to regaining some memories and not liking what he see's causing him to drift the frontier. However his facination with the darkness never truly has ended so he has been collecting to study or do what ever the point of gambit is. Just a theory

Drifter isn't Dredgen Yor. Dredgen Yor did get killed by Golden Gun though; the stand off between him and Shin Malphur specifically describes Shin generating the Sun's light through his gun. Drifter is his own man with his own goals, but he is being hunted by someone, probably Shin Malphur.
Dredgen Yor abandoned his Ghost, so that's a no go.
And you dont think its possible that when he died the ghost found its way back? Or that he found another way to ressurect through his interaction with the hive?
If you'd read up on what happened to Drifter's crew, there was fck all their Ghosts could do to save them from dying when their light got snuffed out. Same reason we cant revive in raids. Other shadows ghosts were killed by Shin. None of this says Yor couldnt be alive.

His Ghost didn't revive him specifically because he abandoned that Ghost and threatened its life should it force its help on him. That Ghost either found another potential Lightbearer or died. Dredgen Yor was corrupted by the Dark because his will was not strong enough to overcome that corruption, so I highly doubt he had access to a throne world or learned to transcend dying the way Toland did. Even then, the Drifter still isn't Dredgen Yor. He was a Shadow of Yor, and he found his own way to fight using the Dark.

All im saying is its possible. You sound like the people claiming yor was a hunter all d1. Yes he may be just a shadow, but nothing conclusively says Yor is dead. Hell theres more evidence to Ana being dead, and shes in thr game.
-
There's nothing suggesting he would still be alive after being incinerated by Golden Gun, and tbh, you sound like those people claiming he was a Hunter (which unless you have proof he isn't, they aren't wrong) because you seem to think he could somehow still be alive after being obliterated by that super. If it was just a hole through his chest, you'd be onto something, but I doubt he'd come back from that or that he'd even want to.
and tbh, you sound like those people claiming he was a Hunter (which unless you have proof he isn't, they aren't wrong)
Rezyl Azzir is confirmed to be Yor and he was a titan.

I'm not surprised he wasn't strong enough to overcome that corruption.
