I feel like it’d be best if they added the ability to store the roll of your favourite version of a weapon/armour piece in the collections and be able to get that roll from the collections whenever. It’s not like it would be OP to be able to get these god rolls whenever, because you’d actually have to get one in the first place. And if you find a better one in your travels, overwrite your previous roll and store the new one!

  • This is what the VAULT is for! Put your favorite rolls and Forsaken gear in the vault. Everything else can come from collections. With space for 500 items, there is plenty of space if you don’t fill your vault with shaders and sparrows.

  • You clearly missed the point of my comment. I’m not suggesting that we use collections in place of the vault, that’d be incredibly stupid and would likely make things far more complicated than they need to be, I’m just suggesting a way that items could be retrieved from the collections, because whether you’d like to accept it or not, being able to retrieve absolutely everything from collections would make it a better system.

  • Again, it is not necessary. If the perks on a weapon are good enough to keep, them that weapon is going into my vault. If I choose to dismantle said weapon, it’s because I did NOT like the perks, so having it in collections would make no sense.

  • There are 385 weapons and 831 armour pieces. If I wanted to keep a single good roll for every weapon that’d take me up to 385, let’s call it 370 considering I’d probably have some sitting in my inventory. If I then manage to find a second roll worth keeping for even a third of the available weapons I would have almost no vault space free. That’s completely excluding armour. Now obviously this isn’t taking into consideration that not all weapons have random rolls available, and some weapons just aren’t worth keeping, but the space left in a vault would be tight nonetheless. However, looking at that same weapon situation, if I then have the ability to store a single roll for every piece of gear in my collections then all I’d need to store would be those second rolls worth keeping, and I’d have well over half my vault space available. I see your point, but I don’t think you’re even considering mine, especially since you completely missed the point of my original reply. I just don’t get what your issue is with Bungie adding a feature that would come in handy, no matter how much you deny that it would.

  • I guess if you want one copy of EVERYTHING in the game, then you’re right. I still don’t think it’s a huge issue though.

  • Once again, you clearly are not reading my comments properly, I addressed the fact that you likely wouldn’t have a copy of everything. Also, you’re literally the only one out of the two of us who has referred to this as an issue. In fact, the only time I’ve ever spoken the word here is when talking about the issue you seem to have with implementing something similar to my idea.

  • I actually DO read your posts, just don’t happen to see the current state as an “issue,” “problem,” “shortcoming,” or whatever the hell you want to call it. I see what you are proposing, but for me, whether or not Bungie ever decided to implement such a change would make no difference to me.

  • I’m just not gonna bother continuing this reply chain, it’s painful seeing you missing the point of my suggestion this badly.

  • I see your point as well as its purported benefits and utility. I just happen to disagree that it is a needed feature.

  • Pretty sure I’ve never said that we need the feature.

  • Pretty sure I missed the whole point of you bringing it up then, just like you said. On that, we both totally agree- I missed the whole point of your comment.
