It's been know about since forsaken dropped and people have been advised by many YouTube channels like unknownplayer and houndish amongst many others to make sure you have space in your inventory or you will lose it.

I had empty space, after I collected bounty I verified it was in my inventory. I left the Blind Well and went straight to the oracle and it said I did not have an offering. I was like "what the heck" I just saw it 30 seconds ago. But when I opened inventory again it was gone.

yes it does suck! I need all the help I can get to get my light higher and this did not help.
