Good work my dude. Yeah I definitely think that the worm gods are a subspecies of the ahamkara that chose to subject themselves to the deep. That means that the wish dragons are a subspecies that chose to utilize both the sky and the deep. What’s interesting is this means we may see a subspecies of ahamkara that subjects themselves only to the light? Maybe Riven or Azirim is one such ahamkara. If your theory is true (which seems very likely) it would be interesting to know what the language of the sky is?

 • Thanks man. I’ll have to remind you though, that in the lore entry I found later, it says that the Ahamkara and Wormgods evolved the ability to manipulate separately: That’s called convergent evolution. It’s the reason why both fish and dolphins have similar bodies while still being totally separate species.

 • Well what I meant was that they evolved from a common ancestor. There are no doubt many connections between the worm gods and ahamkara though. Enough to make it possible that they were the same species but the worm gods subjected themselves to the deep and thus there anatomy altered. It’s also worth noting that the ahamkara/ worm gods may be on a level above the sky and the deep as they seem to be able to wield both fundamental forces freely

 • They would have to be very distant relatives then. Again, like fish and dolphins. They look somewhat similar, have the ability to swim, but evolved all this separately and are only related in the most basic sense. If you go far down enough, everything has a common ancestor. I don’t think either one uses the sky. Using the sky is gifting. Just gifting and creating. Using the deep is destroying, taking, deceiving. If you would ask the sky for a wish, you would get it, befitting you. If you would ask the deep for a wish, it would still grant you that wish, but with a price. By paying that price later, the deep takes and ultimately befits from you. It’s pretty different. The price outweighs the benefit for you.

 • Oh I see. I interpreted it as when the wish dragons grant you a wish, they use the sky to grant the wish, but the deep to make you pay a heavy price. If what you are saying is true though, why is it that no creature other than those visited by the traveler can use the powers of the sky?

 • I don’t know. Maybe the power of the sky are given to you and the powers of the deep offer themselves to you. This would fit its theme of deceit and persuasion.
