You guys can get VPNS, trust me, spending money isn’t ideal but most routers come with denial of service attack preventions in them, just look on the box of your router and see if it has one. You can also buy them online. I’m setting mine up because I am DONE with getting ddossed when I play .8s

Doesn’t work. They can just DoS the VPN IP. Your modem doesn’t get attacked, but you’re still kicked from the game.

And I have friends who have VPNS. They work.
-
The VPN is on the router, not the modem

I don’t think you know how VPN works. If your friends think it works, it’s a placebo, at least as a protection from being booted out of matches. VPN will conceal your IP, and encrypt your data, but it does not make you immune from a DOS attack.

Yea, thought of that , i think it would work. But I am not a pro gamer and I never stream. Just want to play a game without having my internet attacked. Bungie need to do a better job of policing. We should not even need to report players. Bungie automated monitoring comp and trials for repeated trends of wins against short handed teams should be straightforward to implement, then have human eyes confirm before banning.

Yeah I get DDosed practically every weekend in trials (fortunately won’t have to deal with trials for 3 months) and every time I play comp. hopefully this gets better.

Ive only had it happen once, terrible experience.
