I don't know why people liked the skeleton keys. It was just another RNG barrier to loot. In most cases you aren't guaranteed a key, and even when you use a key you aren't guaranteed loot. F(_)ck skeleton keys.

So you’d rather spend hours a day doing a nightfall just to get a bad roll? On the other hand a skeleton key AT LEAST lets you choose which strike to get loot from

But you still have to get a key, and you still have to hope the loot drops when you use it. Just because you choose to use it doesn't guarantee you loot.
