I’m honestly sick of every update requiring me to play crucible. It wouldn’t be bad if crucible didn’t suck complete ass.
Like all I want to do is get my solstice armor upgraded. But no, I have to play your god awful crucible to do so.
-blam!- off bungie.

The point of making a game with PvE and PvP elements is to expand your reach as far as possible. If you can make PvE players play PvP in order to earn certain things, it's a business move. They are trying to widen their reach. Whether or not you like it... remains irrelevant. Do it or don't. <3

16 RepliesEdited by SINECURE53: 8/1/2018 5:31:44 PMThe requirements are so simple though. Not sure why you are so upset. Pvp is better than ever in D2 now.

Yeah. But at least mayhem will be next week. Just do it then.

Edited by TheWagn: 8/1/2018 2:53:26 PMI feel like crucible is a big part of the Destiny experience. I understand the sentiment, but I feel like the events should have the liberty to challenge us in all areas of the game. Limiting the already limited pool of activities to pull from is no bueno imo. tl;dr play crucible you babies. Getting some super kills and killing a few guardians is easy.

Kinda sounds like a you-problem

Petition for Bungie to stop making us play PvE... 😒 Seriously, keep your toxic pve out of my PvP.

1 ReplyEdited by Ejmart90: 8/1/2018 3:35:40 PMDoes anyone know how many super kills you actually need?
-
3 RepliesOR, you can spend the time grinding crucible instead starting a post and keeping track commenting, you'd be done with it by now
-
4 RepliesWhy not just get better? I mean your basically saying you want your new armor without any work.
-
2 RepliesI don't play crucible, only for the powerful engram. This shouldn't be too hard. It's not like the thorn quest in D1 where you needed void ability kills. That was hard. This is easy peazy. Just wait until Mayhem next week to do it.

Edited by oakenD: 8/1/2018 1:31:59 PMAre people really crying about having to play crucible? You have people crying about the Raid requirements too..heaven forbid you have to play all aspects of the game. None of the crucible requirements are hard, its not broken...sorry its not just handed too you and you believe you can just get a free ride to 400. We all know people crying about crucible or raid requirements are suck ass players who are lack luster or mediocre at best against other players and can't handle non-computer enemies. P.S. Nobody is "Forcing" you to play crucible, if you want this gear its a requirement. You have the option to not do the event. The same goes for the gear you get from PVP or the gear from PVE. Its not like the next expansion isnt right around the corner where the gear is better anyway.

3 RepliesIt’s only ten guardian kills and 30 super kills. That’s it.

While I don't really enjoy crucible myself... *Deej and Cosmo dressed in business suits and sunglasses kick down OPs door holding 45s. They proceed to beat the sh$t out of OP. "Say SBMM on more mfing time" Cosmo yells. They then tie OP to his game chair.. tape his eyelids open and secure the controller to his hands. OP sobs behind the pink ballgag. "Quit whining... A few broken ribs ain't ever killed nobody." Says Cosmo. They then start up a crucible match and point their guns at Ops tiny fragile little testicles. "The choice is yours... You have to the count of 3... "One" BANG. "Oh crap I shot Marv!"

3 RepliesIts 10 kills, calm down trashcan

7 RepliesEdited by Ramirenzo: 8/1/2018 10:38:28 AMAgreed, I posted a topic on this a few weeks ago and got universally shit on in the comments. There's absolutely no good reason for Bungie to gate gear upgrades behind the crucible, absolutely none at all, since going in to crucible with 400 power is exactly the same as going into the crucible with 200 power. Individual items and their perks make the difference so sure give them as rewards, but don't gate power upgrades behind a game mode that nobody needs them for. Bungie didn't even need to be smart to fix this, they just had to copy almost any other MMO. Have PvP and PvE gear with perks for each game mode earnable only though each game mode. Boom, you eliminate all the balance issues, and you stop forcing PvE players into PvP in order to stay relevant in PvE. The fact of the matter is they'll never do this though, PvP gets them numbers on twitch and youtube (aka free advertising), so they can't have their PvP look dead, so they'll use PvE players to artificially inflate their PvP numbers givng the PvP players cannon fodder. And even from the perspective of PvP players this event is bad. If you're a dedicated PvP player prepare yourself for a boring few weeks, cause you're going to be going up against nothing but players in green armour dropping literally everything just to tag you with a super kill. Capturing the points? Doesn't matter. Securing crests? Nope. Winning the match? Hell no. If you're looking for a genuine challenge Bungie just nuked any chance of you getting it from orbit. On a personal note, the super challenge alone has took me from wanting a set of this armour on all 3 characters, to maybe just doing my hunter if I can be bothered. That's a ton of time I would be playing D2 that I'm now going to be spending on other games.

I am tired feeling forced into Crucible, like I can understand the need for a PvP mode but stop trying to force me into playing it. I play Destiny because I don't wanna play PvP, I can get that from the hundreds of PvP titles available.

Edited by bloodyspartaan: 8/1/2018 2:35:48 PMi didnt even continue for the armor the moment i read i needed to do crucible just because im not a pvp player rather play coop pve. i did help a friend complete his missions and went off to do other things after that. that being said i do think a event like solstice of heroes needs to have a good balance of stuff to do which also includes crucible. do i like it nope not at all but that doesnt mean they should'nt have a crucible challenge tied to it. it just means i wont get the armor which im perfectly fine with. and if i want it i need to play crucible sometimes you need to do things you dont want to get the stuff you want.

1 ReplyI wouldnt worry about it, in four weeks the power level will be surpassed and it wont matter.

Edited by SnakePayne86: 8/1/2018 2:15:43 PMHow else Would they inflate the participation numbers?
-
3 RepliesThey do it to make warlocks go in there as fodder. Yet another Destiny game where Warlocks get the middle finger.
-
So should us PvP players put in a petition to stop forcing us to play PvE? You have far less PvP to do then we have PvE to do
-
Crucible is pointless, when I am trying to complete achievements crucible is one of them it's just dumb take it out Bungie
