I’m honestly sick of every update requiring me to play crucible. It wouldn’t be bad if crucible didn’t suck complete ass.
Like all I want to do is get my solstice armor upgraded. But no, I have to play your god awful crucible to do so.
-blam!- off bungie.

Edited by TheGeekHunter: 8/2/2018 5:49:14 AMI agree. Super kills in crucible? Really???? I freaking hate crucible! Got burned out on Battlefield Modern Combat. MAX out my rank and everything and shortly after they pulled the servers! Took several years to get that high. Since then I am like, screw this! Cannot stand head to head game play (PVP) anymore. PVE or solo play is what I like to play now days. There is no joy in a constant death screen and respawn cycle several times a minute.
-
2 Repliesits so true we have pvp only events but no pve only events they all make you go into pvp at some point
-
4 RepliesPVP is just garbage. Why force PVE players into it. I wouldn’t mind if it wasn’t broken as hell. Skill based matchmaking my arse. Solo player get pub stomped if that isn’t bad enough 4 timed tonite I just get my super activate it and bam kick from destiny server. Annoying as hell. Bungle please stop forcing PVE players into PVP. Now people I’m sure will comment we are not forced to play but we are. This new event is all about getting this armour to reach 400. We don’t do PvP we don’t get this armour then there is no point in playing the game until forsaken. No PVE content or weapon should be locked behind PVP yet as in destiny 1 they continue to do this and it’s highly frustrating for non PVP players.
-
4 RepliesGrow up.
-
Yep, totally agree. I play Destiny for the PvE. Stop forcing me to do PvP for a major event reward that everyone should have access too regardless of their PvP skills. Having to deal with crappy grind and grumpy clan mates because of this armor set is not fun.
-
100% agree. Ive done 12 matches now and im at 57%...
-
mmmmm... pvp is strange in d2 ...its fun but not great fun like b4 in d1...the last update changed things a little strange....we have d2 maps......d2 meta......d2 weapons.....but now with 6v6 ......trying to be d1 pvp but can't pull it off....with badass gameing on u tube 100 percent

You can always do what I did last night delete this hunk of junk and move on. So far as far as I'm concerned every so called improvement has made the game less fun to play. More difficult yes, more challenging yes, more fun no. The fun has been completely sucked out of the game. To start off they supposedly made it more casual friendly? They did this by taking everything casual players liked about Destiny and throwing it in the scrap heap. This game looks like Destiny but, other than that it is very unlike the original. I hate this game. I hate Bungie for ruining the Destiny franchise. They bring back bounties? But unlike any bounty I have ever heard of you have to pay for them. Then you have to complete it within 24 hours or it expires. Bungie has become a giant house of morons. Make the game fun again that's all I want. I'm gone.....app is being deleted after I post this. Goodbye guardians I'm going somewhere where they still believe leisure activities should be fun.
-
I just bought the game because it was on sale. I haven’t played destiny since D1. I have been able to play the game for about 4 days now and I can honestly say crucible is god awful.
-
I’m not gonna lie I had fun playing quick play and I don’t play PVP at all. Matches were even and not blowouts plus I barely seen GLance or any other Meta. I like the change.

Edited by DeathPony07: 8/2/2018 2:22:29 AMI just played 2 games and I already want to break my controller. This is garbage. 3 losses in a row. I'm being matched with potato teammates. EDIT: 10 games. 8 losses. This is so fun, I could puke.

The 30 super-kills for the one upgrade task is a ridiculous burden. Spending almost 10 minutes for 10 seconds worth of useful moments is just a time sink. And if you pop too soon... the whole thing is wasted. Those who would rather get the PvP part over with may be better suited to bail on their matches after popping their second super, rather than waste time seeing the zerg through. PvP kinda sucks in Destiny 2, making an endless slog through it a requirement for the current event is something that should be reevaluated.

Edited by Jawsh: 8/2/2018 1:29:53 AMIt's made even worse by the fact that we have to win 5 crucible games on the second/rekindled tier. A vast majority of people will opt in with, "Oh it's only 5 crucible games it's not that bad!" but every single game is a coinflip as to whether or not if I'm going to win or not. It's frustrating to play my best and then look at the scoreboard and see three people on my 6s team with a sub 1.00 kda. Why is it that I try so hard to suffer from matchmaking blunders, I'm at the complete mercy of matchmaking if I'll have a favorable match. Yeah, it's only five wins, yeah it'll be over soon. But that frustrating and sour impression of Crucible is enough to dissuade me from ever touching it until Bungie seriously considers fixing the vast amount of problems that are currently plaguing it. It's the entire difference between something that, at most, should only take one hour, ends up taking upwards to three plus -blam!-ing hours because of how inconsistent cooperation and teamwork are. I'm exclusively a PvE player because of the shitshow that is PvP, with people always running around with the same rotation of guns, having people legitimately AFK because we're down 5 points, grouping against stacked groups (4s or 6s) or any other sort of fun-sucking experience that's the Crucible. My KDA isn't the best in the world honestly, but I try my best because I want to get through with crucible objectives. But there's a huge difference between numerical ticks, like those of getting super kills or power weapon kills, to those that require things entirely out of the individual player's control (the win condition). I literally had a teammate who was AFK, sitting in the corner because we were down 5 points like I said above. What could I do about that? "Oh well that's the game!" No, -blam!- that. That would be like going in to a restaurant with your boys, everyone orders something except for one -blam!-ing guy who decides he's going to drop a massive deuce for 30 minutes. -- and this restaurant doesn't let you carry on with your business until everyone's ordered. No really, I hate the PvP content in this game. It needs to be addressed this Fall with Forsaken in some way, shape or form. In its current state it just is not an alluring, captivating or exhilarating experience.

Edited by ImNotMormon 11: 8/2/2018 2:00:16 AMIf I could vote more than once, I would. The people who WANT to play crucible already are, don’t force the rest of us into it. Don’t make me hate your game, please.

A light in the dark.

Crucible is garbage. Every match now is a one sided stomping. Making anybody play it is sad. Thank you for always trying to force it down our throats, if we want anything.
-
not that bad, but maybe if the WoW could randomly drop in the crucible? hmmmmmmm

2 RepliesEdited by Latrodectus5002: 8/1/2018 11:28:17 PMIt's meant to be a celebration of the game as a whole, obvivously there is going to be some Crucible. It's like complaining that you need to go into Strikes to progress. Even then, it's asking very little of you (10 kills, 30 super kills) & out of the 5 armor pieces you get, only 1 requires you to do PvP.
-
I feel that way about the raids. Crucible is pretty garbage current state, but I’d rather do that then raid any day.
-
3 RepliesCome on man it’s just 10 kills! It’s not that hard!
-
15 RepliesEdited by Kone19ps: 8/1/2018 9:36:15 PMIf you want everything in the game you should have to play the whole game. The cross play between modes keeps the populations healthy in the playlists. Complete separation is not healthy for the game even if some people don’t enjoy it. There are plenty of games that require you to do things you don’t want to from multiplayer trophies near impossible to get for many to simple ingame items. I know it’s frustrating there are many games I’ve left unfinished because of an aspect I didn’t enjoy but that doesn’t change the fact that a likely minority of people that would stop playing because of this is far outweighed by the benefit of encouraging gamewide engagement. I’m not saying this couldn’t be designed better but simply making you play crucible is sound design in a game designed so you don’t get everything just for playing casually
-
3 RepliesI honestly don't mind having to play both. The 30 super kills will just take time. However, I think that they should take out having to win matches and replace it with a different PvP requirement. It isn't that it is hard, it is just that there are too many variables. Who is the host, the host's ping, your ping, your skill level, the skill level of those in the match, whether or not there are full parties. It may come to the point were you do well every game, but you lose most of them to some other aspect, bad teammates, good enemies, or poor connections/hosts.
-
I don’t mind playing crucible casually to get 30 super kills, that wasn’t awful, I didn’t mind having to win 5 games to upgrade my blue armor, again that wasn’t awful. But having to reach legendary to masterwork it? That’s a bit ridiculous. They have to bring back a week where it’s 3x valor again or else I’d literally have to play crucible for about 4-5 hours daily to reach it on all 3 characters. That’s a little ridiculous
