How far down the rabbit hole do you want to go?
No joke, I've seen people beaten to death...multiple times, in multiple different countries. I don't think that's good content for this forum.
I actually thought long and hard, as to if I should even post this...hmm, maybe I shouldn't.

First one was in Thailand at a bar in the late 80's. Sencond one was at a bar here in San Diego in the late 90's. Third time was in San Felipe about 10 years ago, at a...as you may have guessed by now, a bar. I couldn't tell you how many times I've seen people end up with permanent brain damage from fights in my lifetime.
