The leviathan (namely calus) would feel 20 x better (and more epic) if we didn't have to die everytime that one guy that doesn't play the game 8 hours a day 7 days a week dies.
Incidentally, I think that is a big reason why newbs have such a hard time finding teams. It's a lot easier to pick up the slack when that slack is guaranteed not to result in everyone dying.

It makes it 10 times harder to carry or cover for a new player or a weaker player. So fewer people are willing to take on teaching the raid to a new player, or taking a chance on an inexperienced one on LFG. So all it managed to do was make content that already had a high-barrier to entry....and make it even higher.

I’d say the overall raid mechanics are easier than D1 raids. BUT the [i]HEAVY[/i] reliance on mechanics, and the amount per encounter, makes it not fun. Zero hints as to how any of them even [i]might[/i] work, puts a damper on being a teacher or a student, and makes every encounter frustrating. Plus there is no story or lore [i]in[/i] the raids , flavor text ya but.... the first time I saw calus, I had no idea who he was, nor did I care to find out! I just wanted the bullshit carnival ride to be over. I mean, I’m a -blam!-ing lightwielding guardian for -blam!-s sake! Why the hell on this douchebag’s game show? The revive token bullshit can definitely go, just enforce a death penalty or something that stacks to 30 secs if you want to punish players so badly. And make the encounters worth encountering.
