Speculation on how we’ll obtain the Black Spindle
Edit: made changes to the post because people didn’t like the wording I used.

Alright, I’m pretty sure I’ve figured out how we will get the hidden Black Spindle we have been searching for:
Bounties.
In the TWAB for this week, we have been explained as to how bounties will work next week.
We can claim them on the field, we can receive some in the wilds and we can get more reputation for certain vendors.
However, it was said that we can get “even better” rewards than just reputation and experience.
Then I remembered back in D1 where we could even earn exotics through bounties.
This leads me to believe that Black Spindle and possibly it’s catalyst will be earned through exotic bounties.
Also, I doubt that they will put it behind a seasonal event.
Edit 2: I don’t think it will be in Forsaken, either.
We have seen the catalyst picture since Warmind.
It has to be sooner than that.
Thoughts?

1 ReplyThe only way I could foresee it being even better than what we currently have is if Precision hits generated new ammo, maybe Triple Double or something, so your reserves become much higher than other snipers. Don't really want to comment on the balance of it though.

Well, y3 Icebreaker came from Nightfall bounty in D1 so, yeah, makes sense.

Spindle will be saved untill the forsaken. More than likely we are going to get a new weapon early, as we did the trespasser.

Genuinely think it’s scraped. People would have crazy high expectations for it and then it wouldn’t be worth an exotic slot with lunafaction boots/ikelios sniper/Darci. Maybe they are holding onto it where they can re tune it and find a niche. But honestly if it came out people would just be pissed it isn’t the best. It could also go sleeper route where everyone was in denial and thought it was great when it’s really mediocre at best

Again - just because someone data mined and found an item thought to be the catalyst for the BS doesn't automatically mean that the asset was actually implemented in the game.

No matter what we will learn prior to release, Bungie will not share the other things they already know will be those "invisible" steps backwards. Can't wait to see what else has been changed that nobody saw coming.

That would be my guess , if you were around for the end of d1 icebreaker come back as a random drop from the nightfall bounties . I think they’ll do something similar to mark bounties coming back.

3 RepliesOh great bounties to do now on top of all the milestones, at least eliminate some existing milestones to balance it out, don’t get me wrong i can play this game 24/7 as i have nothing else to do, it just burns me out
