Dead but still good.

Good game tho

Titanfall is only dying because of EA’s cruddy business practices, and because Titanfall 2 launched in a very busy window. If I remember correctly, it launched between Infinite Warfare and Battlefield 1, making it almost certain to fail. The game itself is phenomenal, and the ratings are some of the highest we’ve seen. The campaign is great, the multiplayer is much more streamlined and fun than its predecessor, and the support for the game is near perfect. There are no loot boxes, only skin packs that tell you exactly what you’re getting for your money. These fund free content releases that have brought many awesome additions to the game. So no, the franchise isn’t dead, and it’s only dying because EA has lost every semblance of decency and is destroying virtually all of its franchises.

Because of EA? So respawn isn't at fault? EA never owned them untill after TF2 so I'm not going to see EA as another scapegoat here when respawn still had their individual freedom to do as they wanted. Where would you have launched Titanfall? The first launched in the summer where it's typically quiet when it comes to AAA launches yet it still sold short, so they moved it towards holiday time with the second (makes sense IF you can out market the competitors).
respawn still had their individual freedom to do as they wanted.
Ea owns the rights It’s like Activision and bungie
-
After mid 2017? Yes, previous no.
-
Before mid 2017 they controlled specifically titan fall, but not the rest of respawn
-
Saying EA didn’t own respawn until titanfall 1 is like saying activision doesn’t own Bungie.

Edited by ShadowAngel9228: 7/8/2018 12:38:12 PMActivision doesn't own Bungie so not sure what your point is. I also said EA didn't take control till TF2, that is objectively true.

No, EA didn’t OWN Respawn, but they published the game, allowing them to set the release date and deadlines. So yes, I’m saying EA is entirely at fault for this. Of course they had no control of Infinite Warfare’s launch, but they had total knowledge of Battlefield 1 and launched Titanfall 2 mere days apart. Yes, a game that is marketed well is going to perform better than others. That said, EA controlled marketing for Titanfall 2. That. Is. What. Publishers. Do. OBVIOUSLY EA is at fault because Respawn had no say in marketing. It was EA’s decision to put it beside its highest selling FPS franchise, and it was EA’s fault for not marketing the game as well. Respawn did absolutely everything they could to make the game amazing, and they did that. Because of EA’s marketing decisions, the game’s playerbase suffers.
