Why I Think the Leviathan is a Repurposed Mining Ship

<1. While it does eat planets, it takes a long time and breaks it off piece by piece. 2. It has mechanics in place to convert planetary materials into fuel and other substances. Emphasis on other substances. 3. It has lasers and everyone knows the best mining is done with lasers. So why does it have a city on top? Well you need homes for the crew. Clearly this was all built before Calus was exiled as all the architecture isn't rugged on the outside.>

          • I kinda wanna help Calus take back the empire now. More allies is a good thing, and less enemies is even better for when the Doritos arrive.

That could make sense, as I don’t see the Cabal being the most....fuel efficient race. Might as well just eat every damn thing in your path to keep the lights on. It does make you wonder, though. Why were the cabal so shortsighted as to exile their old emperor on a “self-sufficient” mining ship? Now, I do believe I have read a lore tab in the past that had something to do with Calus being highly respected by his people, but I’m not sure, as I never have played the raid, just stalked other people’s armor. Could it be out of respect, or possibly fear of having the death of their former leader on their consciousness?
Now that I think of it, it almost has to be out of respect, (cough) Mob Justice (cough)
Maybe the people are hoping that Calus will return one day, to reclaim his throne. Since we have killed Ghaul, I believe there is a new opening, after we kill all of his assistants of course.

              • I like the part where Argos clogs the leviathan's mouth so Calus hires Guardian Plumbers. Then he hires us again to get rid of his roommate.

                • The Leviathan is a Prison ship meant to serve literal vehicle of Calus' exile. Over time it's implied Calus pretty much had the whole thing rebuilt.

                • The cabal are all about showing off their power, their victories. The once emperor has a giant world eating, star capturing ship made out of a gold material. That’s like, a high end peacocking

                • Calus is probably an engineer of some sorts, or at least took a ton of engineers with him when he was exiled. He clearly made or planned the development of the Leviathan before being exiled and then made his Gary army in a part of the Leviathan at some point and even used one to fight Val Ca-our. Makes you wonder if him stealing all of the smart Cabal is the reason why the current Cabal are dumber than rocks.

That makes sense! On a side note... really love how primordial the design looks. Like daaayuuum. It's so massive!

                        • I mean, besides for his wine and pretty purple crystal floor, what else would they be mining for? It’s kind of clear that they have no need for funds, considering the absolute UNIT of a ship. Maybe they use that excess material from his wine-making to create his robots? Idk.

Its a prison barge. It says so when you fly into the Leviathan raid.
