I really like gens 1, 3, 5, and 7, but 7 has primarina so I’ve gotta go with that
[spoiler]Just realized those are all odd numbers

Empleon is the second best water starter. Blastiose only beats him because of two shoulder cannons

Do you even competitive? The tier list of starters based on their usage in competitive play goes: Mega blaziken Blaziken Ash greninja Mega swampert Mega charizard x Greninja Mega charizard y Primarina Mega sceptile Swampert Empoleon Venasaur Serperior List continues There’s too many starters for me to list all of them but you can always do you own research. The reason why Primarina is my favorite is because it’s adorable, I like using it, I like the animation of its exclusive z-move, AND it’s decently viable. You can’t say a pokemon is better than another just based on looks. You’ll never win any serious battles that way. There’s a myriad of things to look at when considering which pokemon are better than others. Go to smogon and look at the tiers to see what I’m talking about

I said water an i mean looks and such wise ... -_-
-
Looks mean nothing in serious battles. The best water starter is technically greninja and the second best is technically swampert. Primarina is around 3rd. Get your facts straight noob. Looks are based on opinion; I think Primarina is the most adorable pokemon and that’s one of the reasons why I like it more than others

and that's fine. But I don't battle in tournaments. or for competitive.
-
Neither do I but even when just battling randoms you have to get with the meta in order to do good. Same with progressing in battle tree in gen 7, and that’s just against cpus. However if you don’t have a good team you’re not going to get very far. Also building competitive teams is actually kinda fun once you get good at it. Also pokemon showdown is a thing

i stopped at black.
