Bungie has said previously that there would only be three FR's in Season 3. I agree, this one seems early. I was expecting it to be the following week.
This week's TWaB confirms that the Winner's Offering will be the same for each rally. Those weapons won't join the loot pools.

Yep, found it (I was probably just too tired yesterday when I was looking for it). 5/31 TWAB. Ugh. Really hoped it would have been week of 7/10 to skip the July 4th holiday week, then have the last one in early August. Or add a 4th to give folks a chance in case they miss one.

Yeah, only having three this season combined with the account-wide pledge puts a lot of pressure on to grind out 50 ranks each time. A fourth one would have been nice as a "just in case" thing.

Totally. Between both the fact that a lot of people work extra hours or side stuff due to the longer days and the season, and taking some vacation time, a 4th Raly would really benefit people, especially if there aren't any changes to the grind (like crucible rewards being 8/4 tokens for a win/lose, Raid completions giving 20-30 tokens, and maybe a slight uptick for Nightfall and Heroic Strike completions). I'm pretty sure the catalysts will stick around going into Y2 so this isn't the only season to get them (because that would be ultra-crappy), but oof. Having flashbacks to those exotic sword mat grinds in D1.
