Destiny 3 won’t have dedicated servers either. Bungie thinks their current setup is working flawlessly and always has been. How do I know? Because D2 doesn’t have dedicated servers and it’s 2018.

I think what Bungie are doing right now is a stop gap. They can probably see that they cant expand on Destinys future because its failing and are clearly working with other companies doing other ventures. Destiny becomes less important to them as other projects take over. Most things fizzle out and run their course and D2 is probably one of them.

The scenario that Bungie parts company with the Destiny franchise, certainly wouldn't come as a surprise.
