I personally like shorter names for my dogs, quicker call out on commands.

Nah. Fenrir isn't bad because I have always fancied the Norse culture. Thor was the name of my male Chow Chow I grew up with from the time I was in diapers. He was my beast!

I was going to name him Rocko but my father took that name for his father(Papa Pit) whom he got when I was 15. My father and I always talked about dog names, he thought it would make me happy which it did when I was 15 but I wanted my own dog to bear the name not the family dog but its all good.
