My understanding is those are just the ornaments for prestige eow that happened to drop in season 2 (instead of making us earn a second set of armor), not season-locked ornaments. And, of course they're not going to take away the ornaments before anyone even had a chance to unlock them. Bungie is jerks and hate fun, but they're generally pretty good about not doing stuff like that.

Yeah I think bungie screwed must of let that one slip. Lol well hopefully not too long after the new raid drops in a few days. Watch them give us the prestige armor there instead of a new set -.-

RIP ornaments, we never knew ye. @ghostshell1 has a good point, let's wait and see if they're recycled when the new raid lair drops. I still find it hard to believe Bungie programmed in ornaments they aren't going to let us actually earn - that's just money flushed down the toilet for no reason. Bungie doesn't usually flush money.
