  • Well, only way I got rid of it was enabling Vsync. Dunno why it worked though since I have G-Sync and a G-Sync monitor but...well...bungie. still, it worked.

  • Do you use Asus AI suite 3? Since I closed that app, it never happened again. I'm still testing anyway. Reverting meltdown/spectre patches didn't work for me. I have a G-Sync monitor too and i'm using nvidia driver vsync. Best config for G-Sync monitor is nvidia vsync + fps cap.

  • I use it but I used it before without a single issue. The only thing that worked for me was Vsync but honestly, I dunno why it would work to prevent freezes since it actually puts more load on the system. Currently, I play at 1440p, FOV 105, highest settings possible except I have motion blur, film grain and chromatic aberration off and I have V-Sync at 144 (thought I normally run the game at around 120fps). Didn't disable G-Sync or anything. Still running the 7700k, 1080ti, etc etc on a Dell S2716DG monitor. When I disabled the meltdown stuff, it ran perfectly. I dunno. I can't understand why it happened. A friend of mine that had an older pc didn't have an issue until he upgraded to a 8600k i5 and started experiencing the same.

  • I definitely fixed it closing AI Suite 3. I played like 20 hours so far. Try it, maybe you can play without v-sync again. Anyway it's better to have v-sync on when using a g-sync monitor.
