How about make a decent story first then give a shit about the lore.
The story in Destiny has universally been known as crap. Yet people want more lore to compensate.
No. If the story sucks, lore is not a focus.

The lore is in D1 to fill in the gaps for those who want the complete story. The comics and upcoming lore is here to fill on the blanks of D2. Destiny is a hybrid not a full fledged RPG. A lot of players do not want to sit through hours of in game dialog during the campaign, we want to shoot aliens. I certainly wouldn't want to do it three times.

For those who want a more complete story?!?!?!?! How about having a actual story first? This is the leap in logic lore heads use to justify resources being catered to them. Like how about make a story thats compelling enough to have fans be like yeah the lore extends this universe not what currently happening where the lore is dependent on story being vague and rubbish to fill the gaps.

This type of story telling works for me. I go to the movies or read a book for a good story, I play games to push buttons. The story is out there if you are interested in it.

it may work for you but trust me on this when D1 came out story didn’t work for a whole lot of people. When D2 came out story expectations were low already and even then I’d argue a huge majority accepted that it was just bad. But whatever right it works for you cause... lore.

D1 worked great because of the lore. I didn't have to sit through pointless hours of cuts scenes on multiple characters. I wanted to know more I could fire up the app and read from the grimoire or book of shadows. It is possible to have to much story in a game. Destiny gets it right IMO.
