My group checks the origin countries of the players in the lobby (North Europeans here). We leave if we see: ITALY, PORTUGAL, SPAIN and RUSSIA. Fack dat shit!

From Northern Europe as well and for some reason I've had worst matches with players from Poland. Once I got into a chinese lobby for some reason and was also a strange experience.. Game was very one sided.

Uk player here. I'm with you on Italy but the other 3 are generally ok in my experience.

Moscow and St. Petersburg have better internet than many mid-size American cities. Companies here in the states throttle and cap. When I was in Russia the speeds were much better.
