Actually I watched a vid on release of D2 and it said 350 weirdly as the infusion. Power can matter in small cases but I understand what you mean, but D1 Light level also didn't do much as you can get into a KF heroic mode raid that is 310 recommended light and be 280 and still be allowed in. (I do come from legacy console and also you'd get one shot by everything by that point) You would have to drop really low to actually show the difference in light levels.
