You can still Titan skate in d2.
It just doesn't allow you to move faster than other Guardians like it did in D1.
All Bungie did was remove the irritating and physics-defying fact that you'd SLOW DOWN when you'd jump, glide or engage any in-air mobility option.
It made no sense. It was like they wanted to give us all these cool aerial abilities.....then punish us for actually trying to make use of them. And were demanding that we fight on the ground like Spartans from Halo.
They finally seem to be coming to their senses on this one.

Yeah, after playing quite a bit of the new update it is much better. But the dawnblade has been given the ability to move faster than all other guardians by skating just like in D1. While I recognize that part of the identity of the dawnblade is aerial combat, I dont think that giving them the ability to move horizontally faster than anything else in the game (even the fastest sparrow) fits in that identity. And if its ok to give the dawnblade that ability, I would like one of the titan supers to have it as well. Especially since the titans in D1 used to be able to do it.
