Hypothetical Scenario #9
You learn that America is in a war
Not only that, but a huge battle starts in your town
What do you do?

Walk into the middle of the gun fight and die. Seriously, though. I'd help gather everyone up and evacuate the area.

Take a seat on my bunnings plastic chair, sipping a bottle of export or xxxx depending on whats cheap and watch the shitstorm unfold 15000 km away.

Depending on what part of town the battle is taking place, I would go knocking on all the doors of my neighbors and rally them together. We would then set up a perimeter around our houses and have Round the Clock guard shifts. I would send out Scouts to monitor the battle and report back. At the same time, anyone not pulling guard would be responsible for tallying up how much ammo and weapons we have. I would then make sure that the people with the most proficiency with firearms would be ready to respond to any incursion into our perimeter. Once the scouts report back with all the information about the Battle, I would determine which side to help. And then I would rally our forces to close with the Enemy and Destroy them on the battlefield. Once the battle was complete, we would take all the weapons, ammunition, and supplies from the enemy and add it to our stores. We would then set out to secure the town. This would be accomplished by controlling all roads leading into and out of town. As time moves on, we would begin communicating with neighboring towns and set up trade routes. The end game would be waiting for the government to reassert control and put down the uprising.

Considering I live in Croatia it's probably very upset football fans vs security. Things [i]have[/i] gotten out of hand a few times because of football matches, like chairs being broken, so a huge battle because of football wouldn't surprise me. Since there's no way in hell we're gonna have anything to do with America being in war, it can't be armies fighting. I just stay home and hope no one gets injured too badly.

2 RepliesI stay out of the fighting until I know who's who. Once I know, if I can, I go to the American forces and offer my services to them. While I'm not a trained soldier, I can operate large vehicles, write propaganda, treat wounded after a fashion, and provide care and comfort for children. And I can handle small arms in a pinch.

As a veteran, I’d report to the nearest command with all the intelligence I have gathered on my way there (size of OP-FOR, weapons, vehicles, air capability, armor/artillery support, location, description of any identifying features such as unit patches, direction of travel). Once my family is safe, pick up the rifle one more time to defend my home.
