This won’t work at all. The whole reason they moved these weapons to the power slot is because they were abused in PvP back in D1. If they brought them back nobody would use “primary “ weapons due to the slow TTK.

 • I completely left out my pvp ammo part, my bad. Now if you use those guns in your energy you only get energy from heavy crates, but you don't loose it all upon death. You always spawn with a little bit, but not enough to just go off and only use it. They will always go back down to 2-4 shots depending on impact class. If you died with zero ammo you respawn with zero. Normal guns will spawn with 2 clips of ammo and will need to get more from either power boxes, or from killing others If you them it in the power slot you get 4-8 depending on weapon class and impact. But you loose the ammo upon death.
I understand that even then itd be difficult to compete with them. I know that this next part will never happen but id hope they would go back to D1 time to kill. But honestly even if they don't I think system this wouldn't be too insane.
• It’s too complex. It’d be way easier to create a fourth weapon slot and control ammo drops for those types of weapons. The three weapon slot system failed in D1 hence the change to archetypes. It was a bad decision on there part to group abused weapons all together when they should have put those types into two categories.
