There will always be people even when there appears to be none. CoO didn't look interesting nor did what Bungie said about the stuff in the DLC were going to be interesting. Players come back when there is something to do, and May will most likely bring players back since some of those players would like to play what they already paid for. Since little is known about the DLC, it's Bungie's job to impress us and tell what to expect in this DLC unlike the zero hype they built up for CoO.
I am skeptical about the DLC and I'm afraid it might be as disappointing as CoO, but I'll hold judgement until I know what to expect. D2's in a seriously rough spot right now, and with all of those lies and the "folklore" uproar, it has not helped D2 at all. Sometimes, I wonder if D2 would have been better if it was delayed to Fall of this year, but I think it would have only delayed the inevitable disappointment.

I agree to withhold judgement of the DLC itself and of the 1.1.4. patch drop until we, the players, get our hands on it and test it out, experience first hand whether it's beneficial to the game or not - but I no longer have interest to invest and spend money on additional content in the future - they already have my season pass money so I can't get it back. When I think of the DLC being set on Mars knowing the likelihood that we'll only get a slice of a Planet we've previously explored, and that'll create huge disconnect - at least speaking for myself here. (And here I am, really trying to avoid pre-judgement, but it's so hard). If the new Mars map turns out as big as D1's, that will be satisfactory at best. But here I sit skeptical of any meaningful content drops from Bungie.
