At the moment I've just been asteroid mining. Although, I did collect a 76,000 credit bounty on a criminal using only mining lasers at close range, also, define rebuy.

You can view your rebuy cost on your right panel. It’s been a while since I played. Like a really long while, but it’s there.

The cost of repurchasing your ship upon destruction (5% of initial cost + outfitting). If you cant cover that, bye bye ship 👋

The time investment alone put into acquiring, outfitting and engineering one of the Frigate-class ships is staggering. Losing all that because of impatience? Eh, always err on the side of caution. If theres one thing that everyone will agree on about Elite, its that it is absolutely merciless when it comes to player mistakes.
