Even now, as boring as it is and it is really boring, the potential is STILL there. It's been there from the beginning. Joseph Staten was the one who was making the game for the right reason. All he promised and was talking about in the beginning, still isn't in the game and I don't think it was his fault. He wanted it to be great and they wanted it to be more profitable. Destiny is missing what all great creative endeavors need. Great writing, great ideas, great surprises, etc. Honestly, tell me you wouldn't spend more time in the tower if they had a shooting range where you can test weapons and compete with other players? Tell me you wouldn't love to find a hidden.... Whatever, it wouldn't matter. A portal opens out of no where and takes you somewhere cool where you learn something new about the world or about yourself and starts a REAL quest, not just for a trinket but for something amazing. What if you have to find another player who had something you need to find it? You get the point bungie? You've built a game with no surprises. Shame cause it's right there for the taking, right there to be thrown in the game. You just have to have the will to do it and make the game worth playing.

  • There's so much work involved to make the game what it needs to be... what it should have been from the start. The last few months they've concentrated all their time making ghosts, emblems, shaders, sparrows, ships, ornaments... You know... all the artsy cosmetic crap that affects gameplay in no way what so ever. The meaningless stuff is what I'm talking about. It's like being the person at a toy company that makes wooden blocks. Not the ones with letters and numbers... no no no, just plain wooden blocks. Then the boss comes up to you and says I want you to make me a Mercedes replica. Do the people at Bungie have the talent and know how to pull this off and realize this games potential?

  • I think they could. I'm not saying it's easy, lord knows what it takes to make the game they made. I'm totally impressed with look and the feel of both games. They took Halo and pumped it up in a great way. I'm a person who hadn't read the grim cards and have no desire to. Here in the Destiny world 1 and 2, I can't really point to any one thing I was amazed by learning, something that happen in world that stuck with me and shocked or threw me. Nothing. Never found anything unexpected or something that made me think of the game any different than when it started. To me, that's what I'm longing for and missing. I want to feel happy about turning the game on cause there is that mystery or piece I have to find or something. Not just grinding for loot, I find that totally boring cause there is nothing behind any of these things I find and there's nothing special about them. Clearly I'm not a grinder, I find that totally boring. Repeating a task in the hope of getting a thing that is a little better than the thing I already have... So boring. I wish I could turn on destiny right now and start a quest I didn't even know existed and have to think and plan and read and explore and risk something and help a person and something... Then learn a new secret that makes me think and one I'm not sure if real or not. Etc. I don't know. I want an experience. I don't want to survive, I want to live...
