How is it compared to dark souls? I absolutely hated dark souls. Sure the difficulty was annoying but it was mostly the combat and how you lost souls or whatever when you died. Same mechanics mostly?

It’s similar in a lot of ways. Combat still depletes stamina with every swing, combat is dodge based, map is checkpoint based, and you still drop all your Echoes (Souls) when you die. That being said, it’s a lot faster paced. Weapons are fewer, but every weapon has a much greater moveset than you see in Dark Souls, and the rally mechanic encourages more offensive gameplay compared to the more strategic gameplay of Dark Souls. Imo, once you get to know the mechanics, it’s a lot easier than Dark Souls, too. If you don’t like Dark Souls, you probably won’t like Bloodborne, but hey, it’s free! Might as well give it a shot!

Edited by The First Aifos: 3/2/2018 1:10:27 AMOh.. Well, as I said, if you don’t like Dark Souls, you probably won’t like Bloodborne, but if you get a chance, it’s definitely worth a try.

Yes. BB is much more aggressive in how the game is meant to be played though. You also do not get a set number of healing items every time you die. You have to either farm when you're out or buy blood viles. You won't really have to do this that often if you play regularly, since enemies drop them somewhat often. You also more or less stick with the same weapon throughout the game, unlike DS. It's free if you have PS+, so there is no downside to at least trying the game.

Edited by Neilius Maximus: 3/1/2018 8:16:54 PMYeah I don't have ps plus. I think my friend has the game though so I might check it out. It's just most of the time I play games they have to be pretty casual because I have a 2 year old wreaking havoc most of the time. Can you pause?

No, you can't pause.
