Funny the players have to explain the actual benefits of a exotic instead of the company that made it...... theres also players figuring out XP was incorrect, 3oC doesn’t work, Prometheus Lens was broken, auto rifles were buffed incorrectly ex. .0004%, players were locked out of content etc. you know things like that.

It’s good that players can figure out things and share them. That is what the forums are for. Everything doesn’t have to be handed to us on a plate in a guide book. The op had a great post showing their research into using an exotic. It was well done. If private matches come out again, we will see many more posts like this. Players will be able to figure out range and damage fall off etc quite easily. Crap on Bungie for a lot of other things. There are plenty of reasons out there to do so. But not this. This is what we as players and guardians are supposed to do.

Or, ya know, the game could explain its own mechanics... Its pretty insane to not get actual numbers and percents when it comes to stats and abilities. Just sayin, its stupid that the community has to figure everything basic out for themseklves, and for bungie--ie all the bugs, weird stuff, etc. Bungie apparently barely does any playtesting, such as the pre nerf lens in crucible, how tf would you not notice that?

They shouldn't have to explain how to use the equipment they make. That should be up to the players.

It's also what made Destiny...Destiny. the community bonding together to figure out it's secrets. D2 people have been too unhappy to bother it seems. I agree more explanation is nice, but it's also cool to see peop le discover and post how things work. More would be nice but I think they should leave some discovery in the game.

Or provide it, and leave it for people who think it's cool to discover to learn on their own. I feel if this were to happen, those public events in D2 wouldn't be as frustrating (just as an example).
