10 RepliesYou're comparing a shooter to... something very different. I do enjoy the souls-ish combat though. The fact that you can still get 1-shot in full HR gear means you might need some level of skill. Also the loot system. Killing Nergigante, I got feels I usually only associate with Souls. To me that's special. Still though. Comparing apples to oranges. Only commonality is that they're both a fruit.

Objectively, MHW is the better game. That being said, I'm not really sold on the genre, so would probably prefer playing D2.

Note that 30% of my time was spent grinding MOTHER-blam!-ING ODOGARON FOR HIS GEM, but the rest was spent enjoying the game with my friends and I'm glad I bought it. The thing is though...is that there's nothing to do once you beat it (which I haven't yet because of that red POS) and I'm starting to feel the game slowing down, and I'll probably stop playing it altogether once I've done everything I want in it, and although Destiny 2 is the exact same way...its still something I would kind of play every now and then where as monster hunter...probably not. Monster Hunter is a better game in every way for what it's trying to be, but it doesn't have those...things to do in Destiny when you are bored. Stupid as that may sound. Ive been putting off looking for nergigante to grind ODOGARON and man is it annoying, but I want my quilt damnit!

I'm voting Monster Hunter, but I'm totally biased against Destiny 2. There isn't a single game I own that I would put D2 over.

Monster Hunter is obviously the better game. People are leaving D2 in droves after all. But they really aren't comparable. It's kinda like comparing CoD and the Witcher, especially given that Bungie ripped out the majority of RPG mechanics in D2.

9 RepliesI bought Monster Hunter and returned it due to extreme boredom in less than 5 days. I'm waiting on Extinction to come out. Destiny 2 is boring, but not as horrible as Monster Hunter.
