Bungie does not discuss restrictions/bans
If you've been restricted then that's a temporary ban and it's usually 2 weeks regular PvP and 2 months for trials before the restriction is lifted.
If it's a ban then that's for life and will never be overturned. Only bungie know why and they won't tell you and they won't tell you how long remains on a restriction.

No that is NOT the way restrictions and bans work. They are investigated by a team AT Bungie known as the Security Response Team. You were found as either cheating or benefitting from playing with a cheater and therefore you were restricted. Before you spout off things, get educated.

This team surely have programs that calculate some factor, bungie doesn't have time to investigate one by one the player, or it will at least have time to reply to people.

The team receives reports from in game players. Those reports flag your account. They do not restrict your account. Which is why it takes a week or two most times before you are restricted. It goes to the SRT, they look at server logs and overall game connection statistics and then, ONLY IF THERE IS VALID EVIDENCE, they restrict people. That is what happens.
