If you are able, do the 2nd PS4 log in. It works, just not everyone has a trust worthy 2nd PS4 to log into, if you have a family member or close friend you can ask, change your password when it's complete. This is how to accomplish it, it will ensure you a better wknd.

You can also try using the psn app on a phone as an alternative to a second ps4, if you already have this app uninstall it/ reinstall it while your bad PS4 is off. If you don't have the app at all download it and install it and sign into your psn account. After all of that turn your PS4 back on and try logging in. The 2nd PS4 strategy had a higher success rate though

I'm sorry but for the moment I realize psn is down all together, so nothing will work at the moment

No worries. I've tried all workarounds and none have proved effective thus far. My friends tried the second PS4 login and my appear online status option box was greyed out. I'm just stuck until they fix it I suppose. Just supremely sucks.

Oh hey there's a fix for that as well. But really at the moment I don't think it matters psn official network status is all red

Just spoke to them again and they said as much. But their site shows all green for the PSN status. Can't help but feel like I'm being given the ol' runaround.
