If they did that it would just reinforce the initial idea of destiny 2 should have been a dlc for D1

I get that. My thought is just that this is a perfect place for a lot of awesome content to have new replay value. There's numerous possibilities for the infinite forest. It's pretty much the Destiny holodeck from Trek lol. They could even let you use it to experience the battle of twilight gap or six fronts etc.

I think it'd be cool regardless, it's just underwhelming to see how they've squandered these things

Yeah it is a bit disappointing and it won't really improve until the major dlc in the fall
