D1 was a lot better than the mess d2 is in right now. Weapons were worth getting. Raids were worth it. And pvp was fun. D2 lost a lot of players with the xp throttling. How do we know there isnt other systems in place to hinder players...

There is. Players discovered that the Juggler modifier from Destiny 1 is basically always on.
