It just doesn't make sense to me. You have all these Jedi, who are supposedly the good guys, but no one listens to them. Then you have like 2 evil Jedi or Darths or men in Black, yet everyone follows them like sheep, happily.

I could be more forgiving if it was a tiny hole, but you can fly a spaceship into it? Really? Not one person who was designing it thought to say, "Uhm Lord Vader, your evilness, sir, uhm, this is the dumbest plan I have ever seen. If we do not make a change here, then some crazy ass Jedi will fly a laser missile right up our bums and make this labor of love turn into the biggest firework ever!"
