Id be very surprised if its removed completely if it is the game will have even less to grind for.
At best the cost of things might lower a bit and a higher chance for the exotics applied.

Yeah movements like these are extremely unstable due to the rare if not even there logical posts about the eververse issue... [spoiler]Personally I think they just made a -blam!- up with not implementing the idea of changing the level up lootboxes to being the holiday exclusive one on the holiday[/spoiler]

Same agree there it would have prevented alot of the complaints I feel. The armor is some of the better looking ingame yet they have made it very difficult for many to obtain I dismantle ghosts, ships, shaders and sparrows earned from exp bright engrams you amass bright dust rather quickly so buying silver isnt the only option players have wish they could see it.

[spoiler]I don't like condeming someone for how they spend their earned or gifted money, but they are honestly part of the reason of why this is a serious issue for video games such as EA's and ActiBlizzard's shenangins with MTX[/spoiler]
