When you say going black, do you mean all lights or just the blue face light? Also, does your ghost show up as a connected device on your router? I cannot get mine to.

  • Have you tried setting up a shorter password for your WiFi? It did take me a long time to get it to connect to my router though, in fact, I had to do a 10x reset before that would work. Will add that to the list.

  • I have google fiber. 7 TVs, 2 PS4s, PS3, Wii, WiiU, 2 xbox ones, 1 360, 2 echos, 4 cell phones, smart sockets, smart thermostats, and a couple other wifi devices. No way I reset all that crap for a non-standards compliant ghost speaker. WEP passwords are locked at 10 or 13 characters, WPA/WPA2 64 characters. If ghost doesn't support those lengths it is a non-compliant wifi device.

  • Can you set up a guest network? Or a temporary WiFi AP on your phone? Name of the game is to get your speaker to update. As an aside; I appreciate you're annoyed, but I don't work for Bungie or Activision. I'm just a guy who bought one of these things and spent a few ours trying to get it to work.

  • I know you don't. Wasn't venting at you, just in general. The instructions Activision posted are useless for trouble shooting the actual wifi defect. The guest network is a good idea. I may try that. I was going to bring mine into work to try the wifi connection on our guest network but havent been motivated to.

  • I hear you. I'm so shocked at the terrible quality of this thing. Visually it's okay, but the inner workings are terrible. Looks like it's one step up from an ESP8266 with some wonky custom firmware.
