Head on flinch is okay, but when you start getting shot from the side, it becomes basically impossible to hit your original target.

  • I don't understand why people expect to still have some advantage while they are being shot. Being shot at, end getting hit by those shots, should actually cause you to disengage. I just don't understand that mentality.

I'm at a significant disadvantage as my damage output is at most half of theirs. I should lose that fight because I received more damage than them, not because I got flinched off target. Also, when I'm up in their face with an SMG, disengaging when I'n getting shot from multiple angles isn't a solution where I don't still die.

Okay so say someone started shooting at you(all the shots are landing) and you tried to shoot back tell me how you’d be able to perfectly aim while being shot

Because head on flinch, when I'm actually shooting at them is manageable. If they shot me first, I don't expect to kill them (at least not without dying too). The issue comes from when I'm already shooting someone, landing all of my shots, until their teammate begins to shoot me from the side and the flinch takes me off target. Did you watch the video I linked in OP?

  • If you’re getting shot it should be harder to stay on target, that’s just logical.

    Harder, but not impossible.

  • Very close to impossible though, the bullet causing you to stagger would make you go off target and you’d have to account or reposition if you wanted that kill

Why should it be? I'm already at a big enough disadvantage being shot by 2 people. I don't need the flinch from the second one to be so much that I can't even land shots on the original target.

  • Because that’s how bullets work you get shot you flinch

Yes, but this is also a game. Asking someone to manage horizontal flinch, recoil, and bloom all at the same time when you're also only dealing half the damage of your opponents is just too much. Being outnumbered is already a big enough disadvantage.

  • Fight or flight you should’ve sucked for cover the second someone else shot at you

What is it with you guys thinking that running is an option that works in every situation? I either fight and possibly kill one before I die, or I try to run away and die (because I'm getting shot by 2 guys, duh).

  • Because you can’t win a 2v1 so you should attempt to stay alive and get to your team, it’s not our fault you’re bad at dodging

Here's the situation: You get into in a 1v1, then get to the point where you've got a 40% health advantage over them (they have 10% and you have 50%) and are in their face with an SMG, when their teammate comes from behind you. You are in the open with the closest thing to cover nearby is 15yds away. You think you would actually make it when you have 2 people shooting at you? You talk big, but I'd like to see how you do in that situation.

  • There’s nothing to back up, you’ve presented no argument you’re just mad that you lost a gun fight and you’re blaming a mechanic for it

  • Somehow that still doesn't make sense. If you're getting shot from multiple angles why should there be any advantage to you AT ALL? In a video game flinch is the mechanic used to simulate getting hit by a projectile and what that impact would do to you. It certainly wouldn't 're-center' you back where you started. This was a huge problem in D1 towards the end of Y2. If you recall: Primaries were nerfed so bad that eventually they were not able to flinch snipers hard enough because the flinch values were never touched. So what was happening was not only insufficient flinch but it was also re-centering automatically. So all anyone had to do while under fire was just wait for the flinch to recenter. It looks like they fixed that. It also doesn't seem illogical to me that 'side flinch' is more exaggerated than front. I'm sorry but I'm not buying any of this as all.

You aren't gaining any "advantage" over the opponents, just not losing all of your ability to fight back. If I die without killing my target because I simply couldn't deal the damage fast enough, fine. But if I couldn't kill them because the flinch from the guy I couldn't even see was so much that it was impossible to land my shots, that is stupid.

  • Sorry again not buying it. The "guy you don't see" has a line on you and is firing at you and connecting. His shots should absolutely have an affect on your ability to aim.

To some extent, but not enough that I should actually be unable to land my shots when I'm on target.
