A long time ago, Oryx beat down a race that used paracausal weapons.
I gad a theory that the survivors of this war created the vex or became the vex themselves.

I believe you mean the Ammonites. While I don't think their is any relation, it is interesting that radiolaria in the Vex and Ammonites are both marine based species.
