Radiolarian cultures
What are all the sources for these?
I’ve gotten one forged done. Been grinding for 4th book. Takes 3 concentrated. In order to get those, you have to have 10 regular radiolarian. Been doing public events and high ranking for an hour and a half and I have two regular. I need 30. Please tell me their is a bug or something I’m missing with this.
Any info will help. Thanks!
Edit: I was only doing them on mercury, as I thought that’s the only place you can receive them. However, someone has suggested that they can be had on any planet...is that what I’m missing? Can someone else confirm this? Would change things if true. Thanks guardians!
Edit 2: I was missing something obvious I hadn’t considered. Can be done in any location. Thanks for the info! Much appreciated!

Go down to Fire base in the EDZ with a ghost and a sniper and farm chests. But remember you can't hold more than 20 at a time.

Hour n a half for 2 culture? Need to learn to grind better, I usually get 3 every 15 mins and a few blues.. I get capped on material:( but then again I have 100 Heroic adventures conplete

Run Titan and down in on the further left point and look down at the buildings and level. You can usually see one - two chests. Loot those and re spawn at the same point. Look left and down and spot the chest or use the 20 meter radius thingy on the ghosts for Titan. Wait for public events and rinse repeat. On an hours worth of grinding you can get 15+

I grind chests on Titan to get them, I got lucky on the Edz yesterday and got 2 blue cultures from chests within 6 minutes.

They come from planetary chests too

Chests. Loot all the chests. Grab scout reports and just do loops of Mercury. Only do lengthy events when you get hit with the cooldown. Oh, and Mercury is far more lucrative for Radiolarian Cultures than the EDZ for example because the cooldown is far more lenient, thus yielding a greater net profit for time spent than any other location even though It's only a small space.

Fire team medallion + scout report from Cade x run around getting chests and doing public events for roughly 60mins = 20 radiolarian cultures and 1 concentrated radiolarian culture (my personal formula and results from this morning)

Grab chests while / between public events.

Drops from any kind of chest aside from strike ones. Also drops from public events. High chances from ones on Mercury.

Best source on mercury for me was the cheats from the Vex man cannons. About 1 every 3rd chest or so.

8 RepliesYes they can be obtained on any planet. Also If you’ve got 3 characters. Do the flashpoint on one and then switch to another toon. 2 birds one stone. Yes, it does work and I have done it.

1 ReplyGrind any planet for public events (doesn’t need to be heroic) and the random chests. It takes a long time but on really rare occasions you can get a blue one that cuts the grind time down a lot.

5 RepliesMake sure you open the random chests in the area too. I’ve found chests + public events the best way to farm them and you don’t have to be on Mercury, any planet is fine.
