I don’t agree. If the Bungie employees had morals and cared about gamers, they should leave the company if they are being forced to create and implement exploitative tactics that target gambling addicts, children and simpletons. But they have no moral quandaries about these things because it’s all about money with these companies.
Super Mario Odyssey will likely win GoTY from many outlets. Mario has two different types of currencies in the game and guess what? No Microtransactions. What?!!!?! You actually earn all cosmetics and currencies in game?!?!?!! And people like this game?!?!?!

I AGREE, whole heartedly.

Nintendo focuses their games almost exclusively on children, not entirely but the vast majority. You can't legally or morally put mtx in those games. Which IS the biggest issue I've had wrt Bungie and the mtx/xp fiasco. This is a T (Teen) rated game. Lootboxes should NEVER be in a game that has a marketing pattern towards 13 yr olds. While I do agree and put the blame squarely on Bungie's shoulder for just about everything Destiny "created related", we need to be careful with thinking Bungie folks should quit or as others have demanded, fired. The contract Activision and Bungie signed stated any Key employees who quit or fired would be replaced by Activision. Out of the frying pan, into the fire rings a bell here. Just a couple of thoughts.

Just because you're willing to quit your job over something like this doesn't mean everyone is. Quit complaining about people just doing their jobs. If you dont like how they do business, go somewhere else
-
Also, quitting your job in protest is extreme and it shouldn’t come to that. I work at a large company that everyone knows by name and is very well respected a la the way Bungie was in the prime of their Halo days. Recently, our senior management made a decision that none of our middle managers agreed with. They all came to us and said that this new direction didn’t feel right and they weren’t on board with enforcing it due to the impact it would have on the consumer. So we had a decision, either fire our staff or change our direction. Needless to say, we didn’t fire our staff. Sometimes senior management doesn’t have good intentions and it takes the people who know the consumer to step up and challenge.

If they are willing to compromise their values and integrity then we are allowed to complain. If everyone just “moved on” and didn’t complain, Battlefront would have been released as PTW. It’s okay to have some backbone and stand up for something you feel isn’t right.

Truth!

I dont think anything they did was morally wrong. Yeah it sucks that you cant do endgame, but then again, they made endgame scale up with the dlc.
-
I think you may actually NEED morals in order to judge what is "morally wrong".

You say with without knowing me, so you must be talking about yourself
