I heard of Witcher. Never played the series. But haven't heard of the other game.

Hust a warning; if you get Origins, it’s not much of an Assassin’s Creed game from my experience thus far. Much more akin to generic RPG.

Then you shouldn’t have a problem with it. Though, I’d highly recommend you play them. Syndicate was perfection.
