This is exactly what Bungie was trying to prevent. Instead of grinding for everything in a week, you log in every day and get everything that way. If you don't, you can purchase stuff as well (which is incidental, because XP giving you great rewards is better then Motes of Light like D1).
You should have easily been able to get all the Opimacy gear over the course of Season 1.

Yup. Each and everything except maybe a sparrow was sold at least once if not twice. Hell I got a full set on all 3 by just playing normally.

That's great. I got several Exotic Sparrows, a Ship, an Emote and a bunch of Ornaments, all just from playing. Its really a solid addition to the game, despite all the drama.

As did I, It was just one last piece.

Edited by Parthy: 12/4/2017 11:13:17 PMI should have been, yes, but I was lazy and didn't want to grind. This isn't a post bashing Bungie, I just wanted to give insight to how abysmally long and hard I had to work to get one armor piece.

That is unfortunate. I did a ton of grinding for the Io Gensym Knight set, so I know what you mean. It was over the course of a month or so though... I just don't want to play any game for more than a few hours a day, its just too much otherwise.
