So you did non-stop public events and patrols for 4 hours and only leveled up once? Guess it's time to start farming strikes then, got 1 level in 2 hours of doing non-stop strikes. Pro tip. You're welcome. ✌️🏻
Also, no, it doesn't matter. Bungie is literally handing out what is essentialy free money. They didn't have to do that. But they did, and here we are still complaining about getting free stuff. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
As I right now, there's no point in running Strikes. The point is that you should be able to do anything you want in the game, not have to run one activity in the game. The point is that there's supposed to be a balance between being able to get the Bright Engrams for free, and just buying them. There's still no explanation on why they made the decision to double the amount of XP needed to level up. I guarantee there's other people who agree with me. All I want is a better playing experience and I really don't want to spend everyday arguing on the forums because of it.

Edited by Felicity_Faye: 12/2/2017 7:21:08 PMDefinitely true, would be nice if all activities would be sort of equally rewarding depending on the time invested and/or difficulty. I think that was Bungies intention aswell. But they still got some serious work to do on that front. But in my experience currently, if you are just farming XP for Bright Engrams, Strikes is a very effective grind (if you can do the strikes in a timely fashion.) It does still feel really long though, especially compared to the way it was before. I guess we'll have to wait and see if they'll adjust it. I believe they will. 👍🏻

Edited by Dooplis: 12/2/2017 11:00:51 PMAlso Idk about Strikes being the more efficient way to grind XP now b/c I've been grinding Strikes with a fire team medallion for the past 2 hours now and I haven't been gaining anymore XP than I was yesterday from Public Events and Patrols. Also it doesn't help if the same Strike playlist bug from Destiny 1 still exists were you just get stuck in a loop of the same 2 Strikes.

Let's hope so, I just want this game to be the best it can be.
