In your first mission, going to the shard your ghost states " they are called the fallen, some kind of scavenger race".
If we don't recognize the fallen, we never did anything.

From a story stand point rise of iron happens. The comadrone is all fixed up because new light players start off before rise of iron. If you remember rise takes place in the dead of the Russian winter but doesn't specifically when. Therefore it takes place in the new players future. A veterans past. The reason why we have not seen any changes now that we can go back is basically for continuity purposes. Even now as veterans play d2 from a story perspective rise of iron hasn't happened yet. Now it's our future as well as new light players from the story perspective. This is possibly why we haven't seen any changes to the cosmodrone or shaxx saying much. The dlc is a paradox. For d1 vet players it has happened. For d2 story purposes and new light players it hasn't happened yet. You have to remember RI wasn't suppose to happen. It was a bonus dlc set to hold us over for a year while they worked on d2. It'll probably be back bot to long from now though. Siva maybe needed sooner rather then later. But for all intent and purpose think of RI as part of the abandon timeline that the exo stranger comes from.
