But truly, what incentive does a college educated computer programmer have to do anything for such a toxic and entitled community

Edited by Rai: 12/5/2017 12:33:38 PMand the really interesting thing is that no one answered my question. would any of you honestly want to do anything for yourselves if you were the one who had to read through all this insulting crap, demanding shit that you put 0 work into creating? (oh I'm sorry, you put in $60 to this multi-million dollar project. you own it now, right?) you can sit there and say "I AM DA CUSTOMUR AND I AM ALWAYZ RITE" but that type of attitude doesn't exactly make the average human being feel motivated to do great and creative, interesting things for you. It would really just make me want to drag my feet and put out the bare minimum to make you shut up, kind of like what Bungie is doing. Sure, they have their part, but you'd be a fool to think the community has no responsibility to show some kind of basic human respect to the people providing the content that they're demanding.
-
90% of people crying "no content" blasted through the story, cheesed through the nightfalls and raid, made multiple characters to get better loot at an abnormal rate, and googled the answers to everything. Sorry, there's only so much content a dev can add if you're not even willing to actually play it.

Judging by how offended these entitled children got by this post, I'd say my case rests.
-
Show me a company that literally rips out more them half their game and says, here you go, enjoy that is the most watered down, dumb down game out in 2017
-
A college educated programmer should be smart enough not to work for the assclowns at Bungie.
-
Entitled children who whine to mommy and get their way. Why do you think they're having such a meltdown when Bungie doesn't give them control? Their world is imploding because they're figuring out that the world doesn't owe them SHEEEEEIIIIT!
-
Ok Deej. Lol.
-
Nothing, this is why we have community managers
-
Are you for real? That’s the boneheaded statement you make? That’s all you got fanboy troll bot tricking for shards. Pull the disk out your mouth clown.
-
Muted for being „Trump x Gump“-dumb.
-
Entitled? To what? All the things they left out of D2 that were in D1? Oh, well then, YEAH. Please name another sequel to a game that took out MORE features than it added.
-
Other than for being payed cuz its his/her job? Thats like saying why should a restaurant serve somebody food because when the person asks for ectra fries
-
Not exactly. It's more like complaining that a whopper doesn't have mac sauce.

-
I agree, because that educated computer programmer does it all for free and hates his job, WHY would he/she do anything!

Lol at being "entitlied' for wanting a game that didn't repeat the same mistakes the first one did. That's not being entitled. That's expecting Bungie to fix the problems they said they would. They fixed the story (albeit not a very great fix) and thats it. Exotics are worse, endgame has nothing to play for, and the Raid loot is pure comedy. Being entitled means you expect things for doing nothing. I paid for the game. Gave them money in advance for said game. They didn't fulfill mine or numerous others people's expectations. It's a repeat of D1 all over again. No thank you.

Ok you bungie sheep.
Ok you bungie sheep.
Ahem, who are you calling sheep when you are just like everyone else on these forums. Btw wolves don’t lose lose sleep over the opinions of sheep
*sobs* its not funny... to make fun of someones sexual preference!!!
I would advise waiting 20-30 years, then taking your story to the media! #youtoo?

Edited by ramthesocket: 11/25/2017 7:49:28 PMI don't agree with the toxicity but we did pay for a game and didn't get content which a destiny player would expect, as shown in prior release.
-
Yeah that's what to do. Blame the 'toxic' community for Bungies failings.
But truly, what incentive does a college educated computer programmer have to do anything for such a toxic and entitled community
You do realize that you have a right to be entitled when you pay money for a product correct? And when said product doesnt live up to the quality of the product that came before it, theres going to be justified complaints. Get your head out of your ass. Oh and I just saw your a new pc player with 0 years on bungie.net so obviously you have no idea of what the hell your talking about.
