Bungie: Here's how to make Destiny 2 last another Year before it finally goes under.
Speaking as a Year 1 Vet who played Destiny 1 Alpha, Beta, From Day One and logged 5420 Hours.

Here's your lifeline Bungie:
- Fire Luke Smith ( IMPERATIVE )
- Cut ties with Activision
- Remove Eververse
- Remove Loot Cooldowns
- Remove XP Cooldowns
- Remove Glimmer Cap
- Remove Static Rolls
- Re-Introduce Gear Stat Re-Rolling
- Give players an incentive to actually play and not look forward to TOKENS.
- Add more wares to Xur. Legendary Shards for Glimmer, Heavy Synths, Exotic Engrams?
- Bring back Faction XP outside of Rallies
- Bring back Strike Playlists [150, 200, 300 ?]
- Bring back Crucible Playlists (Even though I hate PvP)
To go from 7 MILLION players from Launch to under 1 MILLION in 1 Month should be your wake up call.
DON'T DRIP FEED US THE ABOVE WITH EACH DLC TO MAKE US FEEL LIKE YOU ARE LISTENING AND DOING SHIT TO IMPROVE THE GAME. YOU'RE ONLY FOOLING THE FANBOYS.

1 ReplyThreatening the livelihood of someone isn't cool, even if you don't like him. They have a contract with Activision. Do the cosmetics from Eververse really make any difference? There was no loot cooldown until players exploited it with the Lost Sector on Nessus. It would be even worse without it with the Lost Sector on Earth. XP cooldown = who cares? And seriously why do you? You don't want Eververse stuff so the only thing that cooldown does is not allow you to use Eververse as much. Glimmer is pretty much worthless. They could remove it from the game completely and it wouldn't matter. A cap on a useless currency doesn't matter. I like Static Rolls. It's nice not having to deal with people with Felwinters and rangefinder and shot package. Gear stat rerolling is pointless as the stats themselves are largely pointless. Tokens are just visual forms of reputation. What is Xur gonna sell? I'll agree on the power ammo but glimmer is pointless, exotics drop like candy. Yes, lets have faction tokens all the time, oh wait, you hate tokens. Conundrum! Faction Rally week gives a reason to log in. Strike playlists? You mean the Heroic...it's coming back. Crucible playlists were removed because of lengthy matchmaking times. Anything else?

The easy fix is this Add the -blam!-ING random rolls Add the old playlist in the pvp Bring back the leveling system in factions and remove the -blam!-ING tokens. But nooooooo they will never do that that already got the money.

1 ReplyThey’d lose their funding if they cut ties with Activision, the game would die if that happened too. I doubt D2 is going to die at all though. I feel like they’ll be satisfied with 1 million active players.

Going from 7 mil to 1 mil might if been something they understood would happen but didn't care as the made their money up front. Now they will slowly bring back D1 style content and make more money on dlc. They know casuals would not stay

Anyways, this is a good list you have stated here. I wish a lot of this didn't even have to be stated though in the first place, this stuff shouldn't have been changed/removed as it did more harm to the game than good. I fear it's going to take them a while though to turn around this game, and this like you said yourself is going to be drip fed.

Some of these are good ideas and some of these a terrible ideas, but there are only about 2 or 3 of these things that I think they'd actually do.

A couple of these things i dont see them doing, such as dumping activision and luke smith. Also, i feel like Luke is just a puppet in all this. He might not even be the REAL problem.

Looking at the new video more console put up (as I didn't watch the stream) it seems that bungie aren't listening. It's a damn shame
