There is no argument against incest
That doesn't also go against homosexuality. Just as there is no argument for homosexuals that also is for incest. Now granted I disagree with both, but think about it. "Just let them love who they want it doesn't affect you"

5 RepliesSo first off let me just say i am certainly not supporting incestious relationships, but those saying “well incest has genetic problems and there are no problems with gay relationships for children” is absolutely disingenuous. Gay men are the largest group with several stds. Despite being maybe a 1% of the population they account for 70% of all AIDS cases in the US and 83% of all syphilis cases as well, just to name two. https://www.cdc.gov/hiv/group/msm/index.html https://www.cdc.gov/msmhealth/STD.htm These diseases then spread even more through surrogate adoption and parenting which not only infects the children but also the surrogate. Anal is naturally risky for obvious reasons and even in straight couples who have tried anal their rate of stds is high, although not as high as the gay community. So both have potential lasting repercussions for children and saying that only incestous relationships will have harmful effects is completely ignoring the problems in the gay community. [spoiler]And now i will probably be called homophobic for daring to bring any of this up. [/spoiler]

I think the most important argument for incest is the biological/morality aspect of it. I think the most split argument for homosexuality is usually the "born or by choice" i've even seen homosexual couples themselves feel different about it.

Incest is a sexual act between family members. Homosexuality, like heterosexuality, is just that - a sexuality. Sex between family members has a good likelihood of creating a deformed baby; homosexuality does not.

Incest screws with the gene pool. Not to mention that it often happens under the age of consent. The child that is produced has a VERY high chance of genetic disorders, which are often (if not usually) severe. I believe women as well (not sure about men) have sort of a "natural defense mechanism" that prevents attraction to their siblings or parents. I'd have to look it up though. Incestual -blam!- happens as well. None of this happens with gay sex. STDs are a big problem, but they don't mess with the population at large. The price of loving who you love. Nevertheless, people use false "concern" as a political point, taking the STD numbers as an argument against homosexuality, all under the guise of concern.
